It's just high enough to nest a keyboard under, and the wireless charging pad is a convenient addition and saves space/wire clutter on the desk.I personally use it to raise my laptop up off the desk (as opposed to a monitor), and position an external display higher up at eye level with a monitor arm. This allows a more ergonomic setup without having to stand the laptop beside your main display.I think this monitor stand is the best looking one out there. Sleek, modern design at just the right height. I am giving it only 3 stars because upon taking the stand out of the box, it looked like it had already been used. There were black marks and smudges on it and the wireless charging station for my iPhone did not work at all. So disappointing! I returned it even thought I liked the look of it, I don't want to pay for a stand with a non-functioning charging station.UPDATED to reflect excellent customer service. I had an issue with the charging pad of the stand upon arrival. They were extremely helpful in helping me fix the issue and offering several options to resolve. I love the look of the stand and it looks great on my desk. The pen holder is great for keeping my Wacom tablet pen within reach. I appreciate how I can move the keyboard out of my way when I am drawing at my desk.This is a very well made and well designed piece. The Q charger is a bonus as is the Apple pen storage tray.
